Weekly Snippets: Sophia Flower Girl for the First Time

Finally they did it.

You know how some people say long time relationships always end up breaking, well Jet and Lloyd are one of the few couples who prove that saying wrong. They have been girlfriend and boyfriend for seven years since college time and I've witnessed how their love grew and how they grow in love with each other.

I remembered that was June of this year, Jettie texted me saying Lloyd just proposed to her and she asked me to be her secondary sponsor (cord) and Sophia to be one of her flower girls, without thinking of course I said YES! I couldn't say no to one of my best girlfriends. She has been my trusted ally and we've been friends for more than 10 years. Actually, she was my first friend in college. I love this couple and so I said yes. And I was very excited for Sophia who's going to be a flower girl for the very first time.

The three of us flew to General Santos then traveled to Koronadal to be there for the couple. Just the three of us and a few good friends from college.

It was such a beautiful wedding. Everyone had a great time. Sophia most especially because she found new friends, and wearing her dress she always say "WOW" non stop. This little girl got taste. She was suppose to have a headress but she threw it away. So, no head dress.

Before the ceremony started, Maury talked to Sophia again they had the same conversation about bringing flowers from the door to Jesus. I saw Sophia practicing bringing her basket saying "Walk walk walk"  while she walks down the aisle.

THAT was before the people came in. But when the real procession of the entourage happened, she was ready to walk until everyone saw her and took pictures and exclaimed "wow pretty baby, so cute", she started walking backwards.... She wouldn't walk with Daddy and asked for Mommy, so I came running back to the church door after I walked for the secondary sponsor, meaning, I rampa twice... lol

The cord bearers: Dr. Gail and Me. Partners at La Clinica Dental,  Secondary sponsors. He is one of my bestfriends and one of the few permanent person in our lives (Maury and Sophia's too)

Little S was so cute with the other flower girls and kids in general. She was very friendly and sweet, sometimes the kids were already bullying her, she still is clueless. She would look up to me and say, "Mommy friends" after a kid was trying to push her. I was like, my God anak.

In the reception, she made a new friend with a Tagalog girl, Sophia is Bisaya, so I don't know how they got along but they did. Instantly, like bestfriends. They were running, dancing and twirling. That's what so amazing about kids right? :)

Here's a peep on the wedding decors, so lovely.

Mommy/ yaya and Sophie

Sophie and her Daddy/ Body Gaurd

I love love weddings... The feast, the colors and the kilig moments. Don't you?

Cge got to go na, with our top down BMW... (wish ko lang) hahahaha... Anyways, Sophia's already booked as a flower girl for next year. She has two booking already. I got to start dieting na, after the holidays, Sophia and I will be flower girls again. (waaaaah) Good Luck to me.
Me to Sophia: "Practice practice practice walking on your own anak. Phuleeeeeeeez. Pretty please."
Congrats again Jettie and Lloydie...

Happy Holidays Everyone.

Weekly Snippets: Christmas Party at 1521

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

After Maury's Christmas party the other week, last week our clinic had ours last December 15 at 1521 inside SMB Complex.

It has been two years since the last time I attended our party and I'm glad I did this year because I had an awesome time meeting other colleagues from GSMI and SMB Medical team.

Christmas parties have officially begun... Ding ding ding a Ling Dong...

Last Saturday December 10, we went to attend Maury's Christmas Party at Imperial Palace with his officemates and their families. I had a great time meeting everyone once again, after all we get to gather just twice in a year, on summer outing and Christmas party.

Weekly Snippets: Three Happy Feet

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. OMG! I almost forgot how it felt like to go shopping, like really shopping for me. Since I gave birth to Little S I was preoccupied with motherhood, I worry about what she wears, what she eats and even the little tiniest things that concern her. I strive to be the best MOTHER for her. And because God gave me such a wonderful man, I also want to be the best WIFE. I simply want to be the BEST for the two loves of my life. Learning all things domesticated consumed me. Really. Even plucking my eyebrows was the least of my long list of  "to-dos".

But last weekend Maury was extra extra sweet and noticed all my loving efforts for our little family and brought me shopping. I was hesitant at first thinking about the money we could save if we don't buy. But he insisted. He said I deserve more. That brought tears. Kalami sa feeling. As in. ( what a great feeling). I thank God for Maury.

But as I said, I still feel guilty about buying for me and not buying for hubby and baby. So We all bought three new pairs of shoes. Motherhood made me selfless. I can't help it.

Here's what each of us got.

Weekly Snippets: Isiah Joseph and I want a new pet

Yesterday the K family went to attend my friend Ate Wilvette's son's baptism. Ate Wilvette is like a sister to me, her family and mine are so close that sometimes it feels like we are family too. This is  the first time I get to see Isiah Joseph because when Ate Vet gave birth to him I was having a bad sore eyes that lasted for weeks.

So there, I asked hubby to take a photo of me and baby Isiah.

Weekly snippets: Two whole days of QT

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

Yes! two days of Family Time. Me, Hubby and Sophia. (no yaya) just us.

Our little girl is too much to handle. I wonder how Ate Ramie (yaya) does it, she's with her most of the time since we are working parents. Kudos to her patience. Yesterday made me realize that Sophia is already acting in her "Terrible twos" even if she's just 1 year and 7 months old. We went to Auntie Vikay's house yesterday for lunch, Pia was all over the place, going up and down the stairs, she won't even want us to hold her. I'm telling you Vases, and authentic vases are everywhere because my Aunt is collecting them. Forget about poise! I was screaming and running all sweaty after her. My gesh! Mga gengs... I have to work my arms off in the dental clinic to pay for those vases, if ever she breaks even just one of it. (Knocks on the wood).

Weekly Snippets: Is back

Hubby was working till Saturday last week; He didn't get to join us at Millennium Park, where I, Sophia together with Kaka, Mimi, and Joemar watched the fluvial parade (Virgin of Rules). I can't remember the last time I viewed the parade, seems like ages ago. It was nice to experience the whole thing again and now, together with Little S who's a first timer.

I spent the week at home, trying to recover from sore eyes. It was the first time I got it, and was surprised it took a long time for it to go away. Anyways, I had a good time with my mini me playing, reading, sleeping and eating.... Ah what a life, except for my  "monster eye" of course.

Yes... she now loves to play with my lipsticks aka "pipiks"

Weekly Snippets: Such a sore week

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

Sophia got contaminated with sore eyes last week, I wished it was me who got the virus instead of her, as a mother it's hard to see your child being sick. And viola, days after... wish granted. (be careful what you wish for, it might just come true)

Piskat! Piskot!

If you're Bisaya, you'd get what I mean. But if not, Piskat means sore eyes. Piskot is a Bisaya expression for, "my gosh" or something like that.  "My gosh, I got sore eyes". On the brighter side, my little girl is okey now, and seeing her beautiful eyes free from the virus is something to be thankful for. Now, praying that I'd get better really soon and praying that it won't infect hubby and everybody in the house.

Thankfully also, we got to party again last wednesday, if not we would have had such a boring week. My godson, Liam turned 1. :)

Weekly Snippets: Our so-so week

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

This week is a "so so" week for us.

Little S is having sore eyes, plus she's also teething.

And another reason for the "so so" week is that, Me and the hubby were not getting along. I don't know if the problem is really us (me and him) or just me and my PMS. He irritates me lately. I gave him the cold treatment and he didn't even noticed, he was still doing the usual sweety things, and I got irritated more.

Why was I mad again? I forgot. I don't even know why. lol

My very observant mom asked me, are you pregnant? Whaaaaaaaaaat? Me?
Could I be bearing baby # 2? hmmmmm...

Anyways, last thursday night we went to the groceries again doing errands. This has become Little S favorite errand. The pushing, riding and putting things in the cart that is. Every sales boy and ladies know her now.

Happy Cart Rider

Weekly Snippets : Partying

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

We had a rainy week last week, and I heard from the news that another typhoon is going to pass/ hit the country this week. We are not that alarmed already, it has been raining the whole year, its even hard to tell when summer ends and when rainy season starts. It has been extremes here on this side of the earth, when its hot- it's REALLY HOT. When it rains, IT POURS.

Nope. Rain didn't ruin our week, we found ways to enjoy the rainy days. First off we went partying at Elijah Psalm's first birthday. Little S though, still not amuse with the Clown but didn't scream and hide with the sight of him. Few more children's party and I'm sure Little S will come along.

Weekly Snipppets: Long Weekend

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

Last week was confusing, because of the holidays (National Heroes Day and End of Ramadan). Wednesday felt like a Monday. It was weird working for only 3 days.. But nevertheless I Thank God for looooong weekends...

We did a lot of stuff and it's hard to summarize it all, maybe I'll make a separate post for each.  But let me try to make a short recap. Hubby and I had a wonderful bonding time with Little S that came wednesday she had a hard time letting us go to work and we had a hard time leaving her. :(

Weekly Snippets: Making friends with Jollibee

"Family always comes first, second to God of course, And every week, I'll save a day to share about our week. I know someday Little S will thank me for this one.And I know someday I will love myself for making this one. You are always welcome to come and visit. And maybe drop some love along the way"  :)

The week came by so fast and before we knew it, it was already weekend.

Remember how Little S is scared with Jollibee from Bella's 2nd birthday party? Well, she still is. But I think she really likes the red bee but scared of the gigantic mascot. All she did the whole week is show us "Jabee's " pic, point out and make a fake cry, then I would explained to her how Jollibee is fun and friendly.

Last Thursday, hubby came home from work and took us to Jollibee. It's a better way on convincing her that Jabee is her friend.

She was like " NO NO daddy"

How we did last week?  Here's how.

Some nights ago, hubby and I went out with good friends, had sumptuous dinner and as usual ended up at Starbucks Ayala Terraces, dozing ourselves with coffee, sweet nothing talks until 2 am. It was a good break from work stress, nice catching up with friends, and had few romantic moments with hubby. :)

kilig moments lol
