Dong Juan

I've been away the blogsphere  for so long,  Boy, it's so nice to be back making a real post. :)

I mentioned last time that Lappy died on me right? And that's the reason I wasn't around. Well, She is not going to resurrect anymore as much as I want too. She's been with me for 4 long years and it's hard not to be emotionally attached to her. It feels so sad not to have her anymore. Anyways, before you think I'm weird I'll skip the whole drama and give you a delicious post for my come back. Weeeeeeeew!!! too many posts waiting to be published.

Have you been to Dong Juan?

The first time I tasted their Chorizo Pasta, I got hooked. The following weeks I can't stop craving for it. Seriously. Unlike me hubby is not a pasta person, good thing, Dong Juan serves super tasty burgers. And Hubby is a big fan of burgers. That gave me the reason to drag hubby to Dong Juan. I tell you he got hooked too...

So... we drag the two kids along. My nephew, Kuya I and our princess Little S. We went to the newly opened branch at the new mall Insular Square Mandaue City.

Their food is worth your money. As in sulit. A delicious meal that wont hurt our wallets.

As usual, I ordered Chorizo Pasta. I just can't get much of it. I'm super addicted to it. Even Maury, loved it.

Chorizo Pasta P99.

And of course, Mr burger ordered double Cheese burger.

Kuya I, had Cheese Burger. Yesterday , he just told me we have to go back. According to him "That's the best burger I have ever tasted"

Cheeseburger 119
Little S munched on their fries...

We all had the famous lemon Ice tea in their unique bottles. It looks so cute, I wanna bring the bottle home heheheh....

Boy the food was so good, I'm thinking of going back there today already. This is another personal fave food joint of mine.

I'm giving it two thumbs up.... But don't just take my word for it... Go and try it out for yourself.

Koronadal: Greenstate Suite and Mang Gorio Bahay Kainan

This is the first time I've been to Marbel, now changed to Koronadal City. We were booked since October after patiently waiting for Cebu Pacific's promo fare. I was excited since then because first, we are going there to attend Jet and Lloyd's wedding, second it's Sophia's first time to be a flower girl, third me, Maury and Sophia get travel and forth, I get to travel with good college buddies Atoy and Sue who I last saw 2006. So imagine my excitement. :) In fact in the airport lining up for the boarding pass and all, we can't stop to talk and catch up with each others lives.

Greenstate Suite was our temporary house for a short stay of 3 days and 2 nights. We got the matrimonial room while Sue and Atoy had the room with twin beds.
Here's a look of our room:

Let's ask Sophie if its comfy

By the looks of it. Super Comfy.

I am a little OC when it comes to cleanliness, especially when it comes to the bed and linens and especially when it come to CRs. Greenstate has my thumbs up for:
  1. cleanliness
  2. phone service and cable tvs are working
  3. good airconditioning
  4. cozy ambience
  5. friendly staffs
  6. most importantly Free Wi-fi is, love :)
BUT, it has only instant noodles, coffee vending machine, and bottled drinks to offer. Good thing the place is near restaurants so finding  food wouldn't be that hard too. We asked one local staff where we could eat for breakfast and she told us there is a Jollibee nearby and Mang Gorio. We love Jollibee but we've been to almost all Jollibee outlets in Cebu already so we opt to Mang Gorio to try their local pride.

Mang Gorio Bahay Kainan:

Sad to say I can't say much about their food because we were only there to eat breakfast. I had corn beef , egg and garlic rice and it was deliciously satisfying. I heard they are known for serving Filipino Food. Maybe just like Chikaan sa Cebu and Golden Cowrie.

I promise to eat there again but for meantime I'll just share few of our pics with you.

It was a nice trip. The kind of trip I've been longing to have away from stressors, a trip with Maury, Sophia and good friends.

Chikaan sa Cebu

One of my family's to go restaurants, when we really really want to have home cooked style Filipino food with unlimited rice. :)

So when our Dental Assistant Julius turned 23 last July, me and Ann (my co-tooth yanker) treat him there.
w/ Ann, Bday boy Julius Magbanua and yours truly
Nice, cozy place to dine right? Don't you just love the interiors? So Filipino and so homey.

Our Orders for the night.

Crispy Pata

Dinuguan

Sugba ug Kilaw

We only ordered few that night since there were only 4 of us, but there are a lot of varieties to choose from even mouth watering Filipino desserts. (I'll be updating this soon with my fave food from their menu).
Boy were we satisfied.... Busog jud kaayo.

Wanna Eat

It was scouring hot in Cebu for the past weeks. Specifically last long weekend, when me, hubby and the little one can bond. I remembered a nice cozy place I saw beside Pan de Manila in IT park when I happened to hanged out with some friends. I didn't get the name of the food chain that time, but the colors of the interiors caught my eyes and I wanted to visit and try out the place.

PERFECT! We didn't know where to go that day and the vibrant colors of the place didn't leave my mind. The hubby was up to trying something new. So off we go.

When we got there, I already had a positive feeling with all the pink and sweet interiors and Little S loved it too. There is something familiar with the place, ah... i knew it...  Living in Cebu all my life, I couldn't be wrong this is McJoy, My Joy and now changed to Wanna Eat. It's not only the name that is new, it also houses the pizza parlor–Brasco Pizza and the coffee shop–Butterbean, making it a 3-in 1 resto.

Since it was particularly hot that day, we indulge ourselves with our all time favorite HALO HALO

Little S wanted some cake, I ordered Taco, and hubby had hungarian sausage. Before leaving the counter the cashier asked me to draw a paper from the fishbowl that read "pork belly"... Yep free pork belly for us. I love their pork belly, when I was pregnant I can eat 3 My Joy pork belly meals... ( don't judge me, I was eating for 2)

We went home full and satisfied with their food and already planning to go back to try the rest of their yummy food. So expect an update on this post.

Til Next Time :)
