Love Notes for Sophia: Be by Your Side. Always.

I love my mom. She's the best. When I am wounded I always have her to nurse and comfort me, she's always ready to listen to my silly stories, and she doesn't get bored even if she heard those stories for the nth time. I don't need to pretend, or lie to her because she accepts me for who I am. With her, I have the coolest Mother and the bestest Bestfriend.

But it wasn't really like that the whole time, there was a time in my teenage years when I listen more to my friends than her and I would ignore her advises because I thought I was big enough to make my own decisions and that maybe I need her less. I was surrounded with wrong people who I thought were my friends, I was making bad decisions that could trouble me now if not with my mom's intervention.

Of course it wasn't an easy route, mom and I had several misunderstandings but she bore it all, me not talking to her, me hating her, me thinking she was the enemy. She had to make a stand in order to save me from the trouble I was getting myself into.

Long story---- short, She saved me. And even though, I was pushing her away that time she stood still and stayed with me.

Piatot,

If time comes, that we will be in the same situ, (and I am dreading that day to come) always know that I as your mom will do anything and everything for you and your whole being. Maybe to the extent of being Cruella Devil to your life. But PLEASE don't hate me...

Just know that everything I am doing is out of love. I will always stand by you even if you push me away.

I love you Nak Nak!!!

Love,
Mommy

I want to teach Sophia a lot of things and I'm scared I might miss out on the things I know now.
This post is for her.

For her to remember how everything was when she was still little

For her to never forget the values I want her to keep forever and most especially...

For her to know in her heart, what a GREAT LOVE I have for her.

I think it's great to write a love note for your daughter. Something that she can read and appreciate when she's older.

awwww.. the sweetest! all moms should be like that! :)

"I will always stand by you even if you push me away." -- sometimes when they push you away that's the time she needed you the most..

As they say, parents only want what's best for their children. That's all the nagging is for. They don't want to see their children get hurt because if they do, they hurt thousand-times more seeing their children cry. I only realized that when I have my little miss. Haha I was also kinda rebellious, was always complaining why they can't just leave us alone, blah blah blah.. and I'm uber thankful that they didn't even I've broken their (my 'rents) hearts so many times. ;)

I got misty-eyed reading your note for your Sophia. I can totally relate! ** Mom & daughter tandem here! (raise hand) **

It was a great thing to be told, not only by mothers, but fathers too. Parents are really there for their kids no matter what.

It reminds me of my mom. I just thought that I do not need her advise anymore, but I was just wrong.Just recently, she advises me of how a married life should work. And it works. hahaha

That is a very sweet note to your daughter. Just continue doing it. She'll be more than glad when time comes for her to read all those. :-)

I also have a hate-love relationship with my own Mom when I was still single and even after I got married but no matter what nangingibabaw pa din talaga yung love ng isang Mom and I would say that I also really love my Mom same like how I love my kids now.

That's soo sweet...Always show your love to your little girl. I have two teenage daughters, and they can be really sweet, but I really miss the time when I was their only true love (senti hehe).

That is a difficult situation. There are times that when my children push me away, I give them space probably to let them learn life's lessons. And that is difficult, as a mom I don't want my children to get hurt but that's how they're supposed to learn sometimes. But I agree that I will always be there for them.

You know what? I think writing these love notes for your daughter is really great. When she's older, she can go through these notes and understand you much better. I want to start writing to my kids as well.
