Birthday Cake

An earthquake hit Cebu last February 6. On my 30th birthday.

It was horrifying but more on that on my next post, I'm still too shaken with the experience and honestly we still feel a little of its aftershocks. I hope it will go away soon. SOONEST.

My cousin posted in my FB
"Ate, The world surprised you with an earthquake for your birthday, Fireworks are too boring na daw."
At least, that made me laugh.

Despite the tsunami scare, my mom prepared a cake for me. Seeing it on the table made my heart clap for joy.

Pink cake, with colorful tops... ah... I so miss this cake. Nothing beats a home baked cake made out of love. I used to have cakes like this when I was younger. And it's so nice of my mom to prepare one for me. It brings back good childhood memories.

This is an inexpensive cake, but this cake means Happiness to me. Whats a birthday without a cake right? The best present I got so far. Thank you mommy for making me feel like a kid again. :)

Hello! I missed to blog hop here. And I want to say Belated Happy Birthday! What your cousin said made me laugh din. Haha. I'm hoping that you and your loved ones are not hurt by the earthquake.

Anyway, sa happiness tayo. Pink ang cake mo, I love it!

A happiness visit!

That maybe an inexpensive cake but that is absolutely priceless! A mom's handicraft is always the best, you know! You are lucky! That cake really looks delicious! It's great that you were able to take a photo of it! Happy birthday!

Yeah, I hope the aftershocks will go away the soonest, too. I am sure it is scary!
