Sophie's Style: Partying (CJ's Disney All Star Birthday Party)

The last children birthday party we attended to was Cj's 7th birthday and their family's despidida  party all in one, because they're going to the US for good.

Lucille, Cj's mom, is one of my high school bestfriend, I think I've written bits about our friendship in this blog and specifically here, I'm not going to expound about how close we are in this post because I don't want to be all emotional and I intend to keep this post happy and colorful. I am going to miss Lucille and her family, I'm glad we've built solid memories together. So let's just leave it at that.

Now back to the party.

Cj's All Star Birthday Party Theme was filled with colorful swags and balloons. The whole place was decorated with almost all disney characters. It was a lovely party.

The birthday boy, my Godson, CJ

I've noticed few remarkable things about Sophia, we went to the party riding a cab just me and her because hubby was working til 7 pm and we will just meet him there, anyways we are yayaless ( no nanny) since Christmas. I was a bit scared if I'll be able to handle my very active Sophia alone with two large bags and a neatly wrapped birthday gift on hand. But Surprisingly, we survived. She was very behave the whole 45 minutes trip to the party.... (clap clap)

SOPHIE'S STYLE:Skirt: Baby Gap
Shoes: Payless
Hair Accessories: Pink Princess headband

At the party, she wasn't scared of  clowns anymore, (another clap clap). She was actually having fun and she even asked me to take pictures of her with the clown. :) Oo diba? when our babies overcome their fear, we moms are always happy :)

When I was a toddler, I remember sneaking my way to the cake table and when no ones watching I'd stick my finger on the cake to steal me some icing.

Guess what? my little Sophia did that at the party and I was hysterically laughing at what I saw, it felt weird. lol . Maybe it's a stage we all go through as a kid. Whatever it is, I think it's cute. I'm glad I was able to capture this moment and I'm sharing it to all of you.

I was talking to my friend when I noticed, Sophia wasn't in her kiddie chair. I looked for her and found her here:

See the sticking out of the finger and the stealing for some icing love? So like mommy.... hahahaha....

Finger licking good. Nobody would have notice what she did except there were traces of icing on her shirt.

When she spotted me looking at her, she ran off laughing....

Ahhh.... Mommy Moments like this is worth remembering....

Hope you have a wonderful and colorful weekend everyone...

Everything Pink

I am not a fashionista, but I'm not the Baduy type either. (I hope not). Don't get me wrong, I love fashion, in fact I read a lot of fashion blogs, love scanning fashion magazines and I love watching fashion related shows like America's Next Top Model and the like. I love dressing up to like all the other women, I'm just not the "Pa-uso" type. As long as my wardrobe is not outdated and "in" , I'm OK with that. My fashion sense is base on comfort, especially now that I'm a Mama.

Baby Tee's to me is love. :)

It's pink and it's free (double smile) :):) Thanks to Mommy Rubs for the freebies. Yes, I was the lucky winner of the Everything Pink T-shirt giveaway at Pink Fridays.

I got it days before my birthday. When I saw the package, I was really happy and excited, I tore it open as soon as i got hand of it, hahahaha.... Promise, no joke... I was very thrilled that I tried it on right away. Thank you Thank you so much Mommy Rubs :)

My bungisngis smile says it all.

When I was trying the shirt on, my little girl kept shouting,
Sophia: "mommy, Sophia na" (mommy, that's Sophia's)
Me: " ok, ok.... Can I borrow it first, anak?"
She was ok with me borrowing her Tee but in one condition, she has to be in the pic too....

I only got one solo shot and the rest were all photos of her harassing me to take of the shirt of.

Once again, many thanks Mommy Rubs, I now have a new shirt on my collection. Mwah :)

Pink Coffin

I know Halloween is over, but I want to share with you this coffin I saw when we went to the cemetery last all Soul's day. It was weird how they were selling this and making display right  in front of the gate. I must admit that this caught my eye "wow! Pink Coffin". I got to take a pic of it for PF, when I did the staff from St Peter offered to take the pic instead and suggested that I go inside and give it a try..... What? Noooooooooo thanks. :)

Pink made it looked cuter and not creepier though, don't you think?

Just sharing.....

Happy Pink Friday everyone.

Candy Girl

My Candy Girl

This was Little S' costume for Trick or Treat last Sunday at Parkmall. We just re-used her tutu from her First Candyland Theme Birthday Party. I'm feeling a little guilty not getting her a new costume because I was too pre-occupied with the trip me and hubby had, that it all slipped my mind.

But by the looks of it, I'd say her tutu was just perfect for her.

Is it time to get Sophie a toddler bed?!?

You be the judge...

Meet "Pink Bear", my little girl is very affectionate about...

She would throw her inside her crib...
Sophia: "Mommy, Pia get baby"
Me: "ok"
Then she would go get "Pink Bear", get out of the crib.... few seconds after throw her again and we are back to,
Sophia: "Mommy, Pia get baby" (yeah back to square one)

Love Notes for Sophia: First Haircut

This pic is a little blurry, but I wanted to save and use it to show you your first ever haircut. Yes, Mommy Eve did it! My dad's frustrated hairstylist younger sister. Your lola.
Don't worry you weren't the first one she laid her magic scissors to. We ( from Mama En-en, our eldest cousin to you) all did. And now it has become a tradition. When I told all my cousins about your first haircut, we all reminisced our own experience and had a good laugh.
It's not really the haircut that I want you to remember, It is about our big family ties, the one that your great Mamala and great Papalo worked hard, the one that still lives up to now because they invested it with love.
